Back in April of 2011, I felt it was time for a change job wise, the company I was working for although not bad they had and still have communication issues (what company doesn't) but I didn't see it getting any better so the search started.
I wanted a Volvo 780 for the room only a few company's use those, I found Colonial Freight systems out of Knoxville TN, what they offer is a walk away lease program, I thought long and hard on this sent in my app and did some research on Colonial I didn't find much online and what I did find wasn't to bad, some former driver bitching but a few currant drivers countering the bitches,
At the end of April I was told I was hired at Colonial, but I put it off until I could talk to a few of the drivers, something I found to be a pain as most wouldn't answer the radio and I didn't fuel where they did, but those I did talk with always gave a positive answer to my questions.
So around the end of June I finally made up my mind to leave FRE and go to Colonial I was to start orientation Sept 5th, but before then I ended up in the Grand Island hospital with a couple of blood clots in my lungs, that in it's self is a story for a later date.
So anyway I packed up my race trailer hook it to Zahara and drove the 1200 miles to Knoxville, the orientation went well it was a long 4 days with home work no less lol.
I was able to pick out a 2010 silver Volvo 780 with more miles on the clock than I would like but I didn't have much of a choice, there were four of us in class and three 780's
Hi Eric. I found your site here while using Google to see if I could find any more information on CFS. A couple of friends and I are set to start orientation on Jan. 23. Just wondering if you could give any info on the company due to being unable to get any of their drivers to respond on the radio, which I see you know all too well. Thanks in advance.

Hello Ryan,
Well, it's not bad ,I don't feel that I can take anymore than a couple of days off for fear of going into the holeroad to far, the miles are there but not always the revenue if you can get on the good paying lanes you'll be okay,
I call Colorado home and was stuck with a refer most of those trailers are spring ride, they do have some new air ride trailers coming in and are or have put new u oldernits on some of the older trailers. They have a Van and containers as well.
You will pay for most everything from refer fuel to the washouts not the repairs on the trailers unless you did it lol.
They treat me okay for the most part, the trucks are nice units just no APU's.
If there is more you would like to know ask away. My truck number is 1988 if you could give my name and truck number to recruiting I could use the bonus. :-) .
Also I can give you my cell # if that would help.
